I hate compiler/grammar/language theory

Lately I was forced to study some papers on compiler theory. You know: context-free, context-sensitive, boolean grammars etc. God! I forgot how much I despise all that. Even if I’m doing parsers from the first time I started programming, I can’t stand all the formalism of grammar theory. Creating compilers is actually something that I enjoy. I have to admit that I used to put config files and scripts where there was no need for it, but it was cool, you know.

I have to face it, I am an engineer…
