My ADSL line got activated yesterday! Until now I used to go online with a 56K modem over a phone line.. The experience of not having to connect to open a web page is awesome. It’s not that it is brand new to me. Since I’m used to it from the office at the university. […]

With all the latest developments in the game console systems and the endorsement of multicore processors, I really got into the path of investigating what will it take to make an existing game engine that was written to run on one CPU, to run on a multicore-multicpu system.

I must confess that I’m not happy with the direction we take. […]

Game development in Greece

Comments   5   Date Arrow  February 7, 2006 at 12:01pm   User  by Harry Kalogirou

In the past I remember my self crying out all the time about the lack of game development in Greece. Yesterday a friend (and respected graphics coder) decided to drop the bomb on my IM client. The bomb was of […]

The city I am about leave behind is the city of Ioannina. I’ve been living here for two and a half years now and I must say I quite enjoyed it. The setting is magnificent, a vivid scenery. It has it all, mountains, lakes, forests… it even has an island in the lake!

The photograph in the post is from […]

Comments   2   Date Arrow  February 2, 2006 at 10:31am   User  by Harry Kalogirou

Now that I’m going to the army, I’m really going to miss moments with friends at cafes. Here in Greece this must be the national sport for college students (and many others). I can’t count how many hours where burned talking about any matter around a table, drinking hot or ice coffee. Especially while I […]
